Limousin heifer commands 10,000gns at British Limousin Cattle Society’s Red Ladies Derby sale
The January 2007-born heifer has won a host of show titles this year culminating in the junior championship and junior inter-breed championship at the Great Yorkshire Show.

The heifer was purchased by D.W. and E.M.E. Armstrong, Coppull, Chorley, who purchased the sale’s top three priced lots for their Armstrong herd.
Two lots later Millington Candy sold for 7,000gns to the same purchaser. This heifer, again by Mas Du Clo, is out of Ronick Nestle, a full sister to Ronick Hawk.
Southern Irish buyers were also in action at the sale and M.D. Davies, Ballinenee, Co Longford paid 6,800gns for the cow and calf outfit presented by the Woodhouse herd of Geoff and Pam Blood, Endon, Stoke on Trent.
Woodhouse Angie, a November 2005-born cow, is by Nenuphar and out of the Jockey-sired Woodhouse Sugar and was sold with her Cloughhead Umpire February 2008 born bull calf, Woodhouse Dan.
