Millington Limousins
Millington Grange Estate consist of a 1000 acres of picturesque land which is ring fenced. The Estate comprises of four farms, Millington Grange, Cold Skin Farm, High College and Millington Heights. The land is loamy chalk good for grass and cereals. The grassland is well drained due to the chalk but holds moisture during the summer. The Estate sits approximately 750ft above sea level overlooking the Vale of York. We are one of the highest farms on the Vale of York being able to see Flamborough lighthouse and boats at sea on a good clear day. The farm is located East of York on the Yorkshire Wolds just off the A166 York to Bridlington Road.

On the Estate we grow our own cereals used for our own cattle along with silage and straw. We grow Sugar Beet and buy back Sugar Beet Pulp to mix with our feed. We have a pedigree herd of over a 100 breeding cattle with around 16 in calf heifers plus 45 commercial three quarter Black Limousin carrying Limousin embryos from our top cows and French Imports. We have another 40 plus embryos to implant this spring into heifers already on the farm. Therefore over the next two years our numbers are set to increase dramatically. There is also a small herd of Black Limousin cows and heifers, with some embryos implanted into Commercial heifers; we are looking to increase this herd due to the strong demand Pedigree Black Limousin. We keep this herd separately at Towthorpe Manor Farm.
The Millington herd recently achieved major awards at the Royal, Royal Welsh and Royal Highland Shows. Most recent being Interbreed Champion at both the Royal Welsh and the Royal Highland with our home bred Millington Tangerine. We still have her Dam and Sire, and will be flushing her dam soon. We also have half sisters to Millington Tangerine who are breeding well.
We have Semen for Sale worldwide from Woodhouse Prince, the Sire to Millington Tangerine, and will have embryos available from Tangerine and her half sisters. Also there is Semen available for Millington Velox, Millington Victorious, Greensons Nizam, and Redpath Optic, for UK use only.
